Permission to publish and use

By submitting a story, you grant My Home Kansas a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to publish, display, reproduce, distribute, and otherwise use your submitted story, name, photos, and other materials you provide in connection with the story.

This permission includes MyHomeKansas.com and promotional, advertising, social media, email, print, presentation, and other marketing materials related to My Home Kansas.

Proofreading and formatting

We may make reasonable changes for spelling, grammar, punctuation, formatting, headings, readability, accessibility, and consistency. We will not intentionally change the substance, meaning, viewpoint, or material facts of your story without your approval.

Editorial review

Submitting a story does not guarantee publication. We may review, decline, delay, remove, or discontinue publication for editorial, legal, accuracy, community, or other legitimate reasons.

Your responsibility

You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit the story and any photos or other materials you provide, and that your submission does not knowingly violate another person’s copyright, privacy, publicity, or other rights.

Payment

There is no payment for submissions unless we separately agree to compensation in writing.

Acceptance

By checking the agreement box and submitting a story, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Story Submission Terms.
